How does myCRMSIM affect the phone's battery life?

In order to run myCRMSIM the phone must have our app running in the background at all times.

This will cause some additional drain on the battery and you will get notified on screen that you should potentially optimise your phone's app usage to avoid this.

If you do not allow myCRMSIM to run in the background at all times then myCRMSIM will not work when the phone is on standby.

Unlike many apps that use long polling to send messages, myCRMSIM uses Firebase Push Notification. This allows it to work without overloading the server with requests and it also saves your device's battery life by only contacting the server when there are new messages to send.

That being said, if you have an old phone with a poor battery you may notice more so than a new phone with a good battery.

It is best to follow these steps to get the most life from your Android phone.

For reference on battery life using a  Realme C21 Android Phone not connected to power and ONLY running myCRMSIM without being used for calls or any other features the phone lasted for 29 days without needing to be charged.

We do not recommend keeping the phone on charge all the time.

If you have a phone/s in your office we recommend connecting them to a timer to cycle the charge on and off to ensure the battery is not constantly charging.
