How to Change a Subaccount and Device in myCRMSIM
This guide explains how to change a connected subaccount, turn a subaccount on or off, and move a SIM or device from one subaccount to another.
1. Change a Connected Subaccount
To switch from one subaccount to another, disconnect the current subaccount and connect the new one.
- Log in to your myCRMSIM account.
- Go to Main → Subaccount SIM.
- Click Connect Locations.
- Search for the currently connected subaccount using its name or email address.
- Turn its Connected toggle off and confirm that it turns gray.
- Search for the new subaccount.
- Turn the new subaccount's Connected toggle on.
- Confirm that the toggle turns blue, indicating that the subaccount is connected.
- Click Back to List to return to the subaccount list.
Important: Disconnecting a subaccount does not delete the subaccount, device, SIM, or message history. It only disconnects the subaccount from the current workspace. You can reconnect it at any time by turning the toggle back on.

2. Move a Device to Another Subaccount
You can move a SIM or device from one subaccount to another by unassigning it from the current subaccount and assigning it to the new one.
For detailed instructions on assigning, transferring, changing, unassigning, detaching, and permanently deleting SIMs and devices, see the How to Assign, Transfer, Change, and Remove SIMs & Devices From Subaccounts or Workspaces guide.
- Go to Main → Subaccount SIM.
- Locate the subaccount that currently has the SIM or device assigned.
- In the relevant channel column (SIM Card, iMessage, WhatsApp, or RCS), click the (+) button to open its assignments.
- Locate the SIM or device you want to move.
- Click the Delete/Unassign icon and confirm by clicking Yes to remove the existing assignment.
- Locate the subaccount to which you want to move the SIM or device.
- In the corresponding channel column, click the (+) button to open the assignment options.
- Click Assign New SIM or Assign New Device, depending on the channel.
- Select the required SIM or device and, if prompted, the relevant user.
- Click Assign or Save to complete the process.

3. Understand the Difference Between Disconnecting a Subaccount and Unassigning a Device
These are two different actions:
- Disconnecting a subaccount: Disconnects the subaccount from the current workspace without deleting the subaccount, device, SIM, or message history.
- Unassigning a device: Removes the device's assignment from a user or subaccount. It does not permanently delete the device.
4. Default Device and User-Specific Device
When a channel has a default SIM or device assigned, it is used whenever a user does not have a specific assignment. If a SIM or device is assigned directly to a user, that user-specific assignment takes priority over the default.
After changing a subaccount or device assignment, send a test message to verify that the correct sender is being used and that message routing is working as expected.
