myCRMSIM HighLevel Extension: Android & Mac Calling Setup and iMessage Voice Notes

myCRMSIM allows you to make calls directly from HighLevel using a connected Android phone or Mac. Once the calling line is enabled and the browser extension is installed and authorized, a Call button appears next to the contact’s phone number.
What Does the Browser Extension Support?
The browser extension available under Resources supports the following features in HighLevel:
  • Calling: Make calls through a connected Android phone/SIM or Mac device.
  • iMessage/WhatsApp Voice Notes: Record and send voice notes from the HighLevel message box in conversations.
The same extension installation and authorization process enables both calling and iMessage voice notes. Voice notes are covered separately because they are not part of the Android calling feature.
Before You Start
If your device is not connected to myCRMSIM yet, complete the relevant setup guide first:
After completing the relevant device setup, make sure you have:
  • A myCRMSIM account connected to HighLevel.
  • An Android phone or Mac connected to the correct subaccount.
  • An active internet connection on your device.
  • Access to the myCRMSIM dashboard and your HighLevel account.
  • Google Chrome or another Chromium-based browser that supports unpacked extensions.
  • An active calling plan: Purchase the required myCRMSIM calling plan before setting up calling. Make sure you have the appropriate plan for your device (Android or Mac/iMessage).
For Android calling, your phone must have an active SIM with calling enabled. Conference or three-way calling may also be required.
Step 1: Enable Calling for Your Device
Before making calls through HighLevel, enable calling for each device you want to use.
  1. Log in to your myCRMSIM dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Plans → Calling.
  3. Locate the relevant calling section:
    • Android: For calls made through an Android phone's SIM.
    • iMessage: For FaceTime audio calls through a connected Mac.
  4. Find the device line associated with the correct subaccount.
  5. Turn on the toggle next to the relevant device line.
  6. If prompted, confirm that conference calling is enabled where required, then select Conference calling is on, turn calling on.
  7. Verify that the status displays Calling enabled for this line.
  8. Check that the Calling on counter has increased.
Important: If both Android and Mac are connected to the same subaccount, enable their calling lines separately.
Step 2: Download and Extract the Browser Extension
  1. Log in to your myCRMSIM dashboard.
  2. Open Resources.
  3. Download the calling browser extension.
  4. Locate the downloaded ZIP file on your computer.
  5. Right-click the ZIP file and select Extract, Extract All, or Unzip, depending on your operating system.
  6. Save the extracted folder in an easily accessible location.
Important: Do not delete or move the extracted folder after installation. Chrome loads the extension directly from this location.
Step 3: Install the Extension in Chrome
  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Enter chrome://extensions in the address bar.
  3. Enable Developer mode in the top-right corner.
  4. Click Load unpacked.
  5. Select the extracted extension folder.
  6. Click Select Folder or Open, depending on your operating system.
  7. Confirm that the extension appears in your installed extensions.
  8. Optionally, pin the extension using the Extensions icon in the Chrome toolbar.
Troubleshooting tip: If Chrome displays an error, make sure you select the extracted folder containing the extension files, not the original ZIP file.
Step 4: Sign In or Authorize the Extension
The extension may automatically detect your active account if you are already logged in. Otherwise, you may need to sign in and authorize it.
  1. Click the calling extension icon in the Chrome toolbar.
  2. Select Log in, Authorize, or the available sign-in option if prompted.
  3. Enter your credentials and complete any required security verification.
  4. Approve the authorization request.
  5. Make sure you authorize the correct agency and account containing your calling device.
If the extension opens a separate sign-in page, complete the process there before returning to HighLevel.
Step 5: Open HighLevel and Locate the Call Button
  1. Open the correct HighLevel agency or subaccount.
  2. Navigate to Contacts.
  3. Open a contact with a valid phone number.
  4. Refresh the page if necessary.
  5. Verify that the Call button appears next to the contact’s phone number.
The button may take a moment to appear after the extension loads and connects to your account.
Step 6: Make a Call Through Android
  1. Open the contact in HighLevel.
  2. Click Call next to the contact’s phone number.
  3. If prompted, select the Android device or SIM line.
  4. Confirm the call if required.
The call will be placed through the connected Android phone using the selected SIM.
Step 7: Make a Call Through Mac
  1. Open the contact in HighLevel.
  2. Click Call next to the contact’s phone number.
  3. If prompted, select the Mac device.
  4. Confirm the call if required.
The call will be placed through the connected Mac using its configured calling connection.
Using Android and Mac Together
If both devices are connected to the same subaccount:
  1. Enable the Android and Mac calling lines separately under Plans → Calling.
  2. Verify that both lines display Calling enabled for this line.
  3. Click Call in HighLevel and select the device you want to use when prompted.
You can select Android to place a call through your phone's SIM or Mac to place a call through your computer without disconnecting either device.
iMessage/WhatsApp Voice Notes
The browser extension also supports recording and sending voice notes from the HighLevel message box conversations.
This feature is separate from Android calling and uses the same browser extension. Follow the relevant iMessage/WhatsApp voice-note instructions to learn how to record and send a voice note.
