WhatsApp Group Chats in MyCRMSIM

Before You Start
- A connected WhatsApp number — your device must be paired and showing as connected. Groups are read from that number's WhatsApp account.
- Your number must be a member of the group. MyCRMSIM can only see groups your connected number belongs to — it cannot join groups for you.
Syncing Your Groups (Browse Groups)
- Open Conversations from the left sidebar.
- Click the Browse Groups button in the top right of the conversations list.
- The WhatsApp Groups window opens. Click Refresh.
- Wait for the green confirmation — "Synced X groups". Your groups now appear in the window, each showing its name and participant count.
- Use the Search groups box to filter the list by group name.
- Click any group to jump straight into its chat.

tab in the filter bar (All / Unread / Recent / Starred / Groups / Archived) to see only group chats.

When to Hit Refresh Again
You joined or were added to a new group — Refresh to pull it in. You left a group or were removed — Refresh to retire it from Browse Groups (its conversation history stays readable). You changed the connected number — Refresh to clean up the old number's groups and bring in the new number's groups automatically. A group renamed itself or the participant count looks stale — Refresh updates names and counts.
Reading a Group Chat
Groups are easy to spot — a green group icon and a GROUP badge appear next to the name. Replies from group members appear on the left side of the chat window, with the sender's name displayed above each message, so you always know who said what. Unread activity shows a count badge next to the last-message preview.
Seeing a long number instead of the group name? When a chat first opens you may briefly see the technical group ID (for
example, 120363428471465101@g.us). This is normal — it switches to the group name within a few seconds.

Sending a Message to a Group
- Open the group chat.
- Click on the "Type a message..." field at the bottom of the chat window.
- Type your message and click Send.
- "Message queued" — The message has been accepted by the system and is being processed.
- "Sent" — The message has been successfully submitted from MyCRMSIM.
- "Sent to gateway" — The message has been handed off to the WhatsApp delivery gateway and is on its way to the group.

Troubleshooting
- Refresh says "No ready WhatsApp connection for this workspace." Your number is not connected or is connected to a different workspace. Reconnect the device first.
- A group is missing from Browse Groups. Confirm your connected number is actually a member of that group on the phone, then hit Refresh again.
- A group is not showing in the Conversations list. Sync first — groups appear in the list right after a Refresh. If it is still missing, check the Groups tab specifically and clear any active search text or filter.
- My message is stuck on "Queued." Check your available credits at the top right of the screen. Insufficient credits pause processing.
- The group name shows as a long number. This is expected on first load — it resolves to the real name within a few seconds.
- The group is not appearing in HighLevel after enabling sync. The HighLevel contact is created on the next incoming group message after you enable the toggle. Have someone post in the group or wait for natural activity and it will appear.
- I switched to a different WhatsApp number and see old groups. Hit Refresh in Browse Groups — the previous number's groups are retired automatically and the new number's groups take their place. Old conversations with history remain readable.
- Groups look stale compared to what is on the phone. WhatsApp can serve cached data after account changes on the device. Log WhatsApp Web out and back in on the device, then Refresh in Browse Groups.
