Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure that:
- You have access to the required HighLevel Agency and sub-account.
- The mySMSGateway integration is available in the HighLevel sidebar.
- The Android phone is available and has an active SIM card.
- The Android phone has a stable internet connection.
- The mySMSGateway gateway application can be installed or opened on the Android phone.
- You have access to the myCRMSIM management portal.
- You know which SIM slot should be used for the selected sub-account.
Important: If the Android phone contains two SIM cards, identify which SIM should be used for the selected HighLevel sub-account before starting the setup.
Part 1: Connect the Android Device

Important: Do not close the connection window until the Android device has connected successfully.

Part 2: Verify the Connected Device in myCRMSIM
After the Android device has connected through HighLevel, verify that the device has been registered correctly in myCRMSIM.
- Open the myCRMSIM Dashboard.
- From the left-hand sidebar, click Devices.
- Open the Android Devices tab.
- Locate the Android device you just connected.
- Confirm that the device appears in the device list.
- Verify that the device status is Active.
- Confirm that the available SIM slots are displayed.
- Device: SM-A085F
- Status: Active
- Slot 0: Jazz - jazz
- Slot 1: Jazz - jazz
Important: This step is only for verifying that the Android device has been successfully connected. Do not assign the SIM or set the Default SIM from the myCRMSIM Dashboard.After confirming the device, return to the HighLevel sub-account.

Part 3: Assign the SIM from HighLevel
After verifying the Android device in myCRMSIM, return to HighLevel and assign the required SIM to the sub-account.
- Go back to the required HighLevel sub-account.
- Open mySMSGateway β Android / SIM.
- Locate the connected Android device.
- Identify the SIM slot that should be used for the current sub-account.
- Click Use for this sub-account next to the required SIM.
- Wait for the confirmation message.
- Confirm that the SIM is now assigned to the current HighLevel sub-account.
Important: The SIM assignment must be performed from HighLevel using Use for this sub-account. No manual SIM assignment is required from the myCRMSIM Dashboard.

Part 4: Verify the SIM Assignment and Default SIM
After assigning the SIM from HighLevel, verify that the SIM has been assigned correctly and automatically set as the Default SIM.
- Open the myCRMSIM Dashboard.
- From the left-hand sidebar, click Subaccount SIM.
- Locate the HighLevel sub-account where the SIM was assigned.
- Check the Connected SIM or SIM CARD column.
- Confirm that the assigned SIM is displayed for the correct sub-account.
- Confirm that the assigned SIM is marked as the Default SIM.
Automatic Default SIM
When you click Use for this sub-account in HighLevel:
- The selected SIM is assigned to the HighLevel sub-account.
- The SIM assignment is reflected on the Subaccount SIM page in myCRMSIM.
- The assigned SIM is automatically set as the Default SIM.
- No additional Default SIM configuration is required from the myCRMSIM Dashboard.
Important: Do not manually change or assign the Default SIM from the myCRMSIM Dashboard as part of this setup process.

Part 5: Verify Messaging Readiness
Before using the device for live messaging, confirm that:
- The Android device appears under myCRMSIM β Devices β Android Devices.
- The device status is Active.
- The required SIM is available on the connected Android device.
- The required SIM has been assigned from HighLevel β mySMSGateway β Android / SIM.
- The assigned SIM appears under the correct sub-account in myCRMSIM β Subaccount SIM.
- The assigned SIM is shown as the Default SIM.
- The Android phone is connected to the internet.
- The gateway application is open and running on the Android phone.
An internal test message can be sent to confirm that messaging is working correctly before using the device for live communication.
Troubleshooting
mySMSGateway Is Not Visible in HighLevel
If mySMSGateway does not appear in the HighLevel sidebar:
- Open App Marketplace β Installed Apps.
- Confirm that myCRMSIM - SMS, iMessage & WhatsApp is installed.
- Make sure it is installed for the correct sub-account.
- If necessary, uninstall and reinstall the application.
- Refresh the HighLevel sub-account page.
- Check whether mySMSGateway is now visible.
The Android / SIM Tab or Devices Page Is Not Available
If the Android / SIM device page is not available:
- Open the myCRMSIM Dashboard.
- Go to Settings β Branding.
- Locate HighLevel mySMSGateway Page.
- Enable Show Devices.
- Click Save All Changes.
- Return to HighLevel.
- Refresh the sub-account.
- Open mySMSGateway again.
The QR Code Does Not Appear
If the QR code does not load after clicking Connect Android device:
- Wait a few moments for the connection window to load.
- Refresh the mySMSGateway page.
- Close and reopen the Connect Android device window.
- Confirm that the Android phone has a stable internet connection.
- Try connecting the device again.
The Android Device Does Not Connect
If the Android device does not connect after scanning the QR code:
- Confirm that the QR code was scanned using the gateway application.
- Check the Android phone's internet connection.
- Make sure the gateway application is open.
- Reopen the gateway application if necessary.
- Try scanning the QR code again.
- Keep the phone connected to the internet during the connection process.
The Device Is Connected but Does Not Appear in myCRMSIM
If the device connects in HighLevel but does not appear under myCRMSIM β Devices β Android Devices:
- Confirm that the Android phone is still connected to the internet.
- Confirm that the gateway application is running.
- Refresh the Android Devices page.
- Wait briefly and check the device list again.
- If the device still does not appear, reconnect the Android device from HighLevel.
The Device Is Active but the SIM Is Not Available for Assignment
If the device appears as Active, but the expected SIM is not available for Use for this sub-account:
- Open HighLevel β mySMSGateway β Android / SIM.
- Confirm that the correct Android device is displayed.
- Confirm that the required SIM is detected on the Android phone.
- Check that the Android phone is online.
- Restart or reopen the gateway application.
- Refresh the Android / SIM page.
The Wrong SIM Was Assigned
If the wrong SIM was selected:
- Open HighLevel β mySMSGateway β Android / SIM.
- Locate the connected Android device.
- Identify the correct SIM slot.
- Use the available assignment option for the correct SIM.
- Verify the result under myCRMSIM β Subaccount SIM.
The SIM Does Not Appear Under Subaccount SIM
If the SIM does not appear under myCRMSIM β Subaccount SIM after clicking Use for this sub-account:
- Confirm that the correct SIM was selected in HighLevel.
- Wait briefly for the assignment to synchronize.
- Refresh the Subaccount SIM page.
- Confirm that you are checking the correct HighLevel sub-account.
- If the SIM is still missing, return to HighLevel and verify the assignment again.
The SIM Is Assigned but Is Not Showing as Default
If the assigned SIM does not appear as the Default SIM:
- Confirm that Use for this sub-account was successfully completed in HighLevel.
- Refresh the myCRMSIM β Subaccount SIM page.
- Confirm that you are viewing the correct HighLevel sub-account.
- Confirm that the assigned SIM is the expected SIM from the Android device.
- Do not manually change the Default SIM from the myCRMSIM Dashboard as part of the normal setup flow.
The Android Phone Disconnects
If the Android device repeatedly disconnects:
- Keep the Android phone powered on.
- Keep the phone connected to a stable internet connection.
- Make sure the gateway application remains open and active.
- Check whether Android is restricting the application's background activity.
- Check whether Android is restricting the application's network access.
- Reopen the gateway application if the connection is lost.
Messages Are Not Sending
If the device and SIM appear correctly assigned but messages are not sending:
- Confirm that the Android device status is Active.
- Confirm that the correct SIM is assigned to the sub-account.
- Confirm that the SIM is shown as the Default SIM.
- Confirm that the Android phone has an active internet connection.
- Confirm that the gateway application is running.
- Verify that the selected SIM can send messages directly from the Android phone.
- Perform an internal test message before using the device for live messaging.

The complete setup flow is:

- Click Connect Android device.
