iMessage Device Status Definitions

Your iMessage device can show three possible statuses:

  1. Inactive

    • ❌ What it means: The device is not connected to the myCRMSIM system and is currently not operational for sending iMessages.

    • ⚠️ Action required: Ensure your Mac is powered on, connected to the internet, and the mySMSGateway iMessage app is running.

  2. Active-S (Socket Connection)

    • ✅ What it means: This is the optimal status. Your device is connected via a socket connection, which allows the fastest and most reliable message delivery.

    • 🚀 Performance: Messages are sent instantly with minimal latency.

  3. Active-H (HTTPS Connection)

    • ⚡ What it means: Your device has fallen back to an HTTPS connection. This is a slower but still functional mode.

    • ⏳ Performance: Expect a slight delay of 5 to 10 seconds in sending iMessages.

    • 🔄 System behaviour: The system will continue to attempt reconnecting to the preferred Active-S (socket) connection.

Troubleshooting Steps:

If your device is stuck in Active-H and not reverting to Active-S, follow these steps:

  1. ❌ Force Quit the mySMSGateway iMessage App

    • On your Mac, open Activity Monitor or use Command + Option + Esc to force quit the app.

  2. ↺ Restart the App

    • Relaunch the mySMSGateway iMessage app.

    • Wait a few seconds and check the status indicator.

  3. ✅ Confirm Status Change

    • You should see the device status return to Active-S if the socket connection is restored.

Additional Notes:
  • The system is designed to automatically try to re-establish the optimal Active-S connection.

  • If the issue persists even after restarting the app, ensure your Mac has a stable internet connection and that there are no network firewalls or VPNs blocking the socket connection.
