iMessage Specifications

To use myCRMSIM for iMessage, your devices must meet the following minimum specifications:


📱 iPhones
  • iOS Version: iOS 12.0 or higher is required.

  • Recommended Models:

    • iPhone 6s and newer

    • iPhone SE (2nd Gen or later)

    • iPhone 7, 8

    • iPhone X, XR, XS

    • iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 (All models)


⚠️ iPhone 6 can only run up to iOS 12.5.7. While technically supported, it's not recommended due to performance limitations.

Please not some older iPhones may not support SMS text message forwarding


💻 Mac Devices
  • macOS Version: macOS Montery (12.4) or later

  • Supported Models (Late 2014 or newer):

    • Mac Mini - recommended

    • MacBook

    • MacBook Air

    • MacBook Pro

    • iMac

    • iMac Pro

    • Mac Pro

    • Mac Studio


These Macs can be used to access iMessage via the web or the desktop version of the app.


We recommend Mac minis as they are very cheap to purchase second hand, small in size and very reliable to leave running 24/7.


Both devices must be on and connected to the internet for our integration to operate successfully.

  •  Apple Mini Mac 
  • 1-4 x iPhones (for SMS functionality) 
  • HDMI-enabled monitor
    HDMI switch or multiple HDMI ports on the monitor
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) 
  • USB cables for iPhone-to-Mini Mac connection

  • Connect Devices to Monitor 
  • Use an HDMI switch or utilize multiple HDMI ports to toggle between inputs easily. 


 🔌 Power Protection 

  • Plug the Mini Mac into the UPS to ensure it remains powered during outages.
  • Connect your iPhones to the Mini Mac using USB to enable SMS and tethering functionalities. 
  • Optionally, power the iPhones via the UPS using a USB hub to prevent them from losing charge during an outage. 


 🛜 Internet Redundancy Setup 

  • Set one of the iPhones to permanently provide a mobile hotspot. 
  • Connect the Mini Mac to the iPhone’s hotspot as the primary or fallback internet source. 
  • This ensures uninterrupted internet even during Wi-Fi or power failures.

 🔌 UPS Placement: Position your UPS where both the Mini Mac and charging cables for the iPhones can easily reach. 


📡 Stable Hotspot: Keep the iPhone providing the hotspot consistently connected and ensure it has a reliable data plan. 


🎛️ Monitor Switching: Familiarize yourself with switching HDMI inputs to quickly toggle between the Mini Mac and laptop views.
