🧠 Background (Why This Matters)
myCRMSIM uses the Message Gateway app to connect iMessage conversations with your CRM. A HostMyApple cloud Mac gives you a hosted Mac environment where the gateway can stay running in the cloud.

🛠️ Prerequisites
✔️ An active HostMyApple cloud Mac plan.
✔️ The HostMyApple welcome email with your Server Details, including your Main IP, username, and password.
✔️ The NoMachine remote desktop app installed on your computer.
✔️ Access to your myCRMSIM dashboard.
✔️ Your iPhone signed into the same iMessage account you want to use with myCRMSIM.

⚠️ Important: Keep your HostMyApple login details and myCRMSIM Message App Token private. Treat them like passwords.

✅ Step-by-Step Instructions
📌 Step 1: Locate Your HostMyApple Server Details
After purchasing your HostMyApple plan, open the welcome email from HostMyApple and find the Server Details section.

You will need the Main IP address when creating the remote desktop connection in NoMachine. You may also need the username and password from the same email when logging into the cloud Mac.
💡 Note: If you cannot find the email, search your inbox for HostMyApple or Server Details.

📌 Step 2: Create a New NoMachine Connection
Open NoMachine on your computer and create a new connection for the HostMyApple cloud Mac.
  1. Click the Add button or plus icon.
  2. Enter a clear name for the connection, such as myCRMSIM HostMyApple Mac.
  3. Paste the HostMyApple Main IP into the Host field.
  4. Click Add to save the connection.
  5. Double-click the saved connection to open the cloud Mac.
⚠️ Important: If the connection does not open, double-check that the Main IP was copied correctly from the HostMyApple email.

🛠 Step 3: Open iMessage Devices and Copy the Gateway Download Link

On your local computer, open your myCRMSIM dashboard and go to the iMessage Devices area.

  1. Click iMessage Devices.
  2. Click Add Device.
  3. In the Message Gateway Setup window, find the download link for the Mac app.
  4. Right-click the download link and choose Copy Link Address.
  5. Switch back to the NoMachine cloud Mac window.
  6. Open Safari on the cloud Mac.
  7. Paste the download link into the Safari address bar and press Enter.
  8. Download and open the Message Gateway app.

💡 Note: Copying the link from your local myCRMSIM dashboard and pasting it into Safari on the cloud Mac is faster than typing the full download link manually.

🔐 Step 4: Copy Your Message App Token

Return to the Message Gateway Setup window in your myCRMSIM dashboard and copy your token.
  1. Find the Your Message App Token field.
  2. Click the copy icon beside the token.
  3. Switch back to the cloud Mac session.
  4. Paste the token into the Message Gateway app when prompted.
  5. Complete the setup prompts and leave the app running.

🚨 Warning: Your Message App Token connects the Message Gateway app to your myCRMSIM account. Do not paste it anywhere outside the official setup process.

🧪 Step 5: Send a Test Message from Your CRM

Once the Message Gateway app is connected, send a test message to confirm that everything is working.
  1. Open Conversations in your CRM.
  2. Select a test contact.
  3. Type a short test message, such as Test message from myCRMSIM iMessage.
  4. Click Send.
  5. Confirm the message appears in the Message Gateway app on the cloud Mac.
  6. Confirm the message also arrives on the connected iPhone.

💡 Note: Use a test contact first so you can confirm the connection before sending messages to live contacts.

✅ Step 6: Confirm Replies Sync Back to Your CRM
To confirm the full loop is working, reply from the connected iPhone and watch for the reply in your CRM conversation thread.
  1. Reply to the test message from the connected iPhone.
  2. Confirm the reply appears in the Message Gateway app on the cloud Mac.
  3. Confirm the reply also appears in your CRM conversation.
  4. Once the reply appears in your CRM, your HostMyApple cloud Mac setup is working correctly.

📢 Final Notes

‣ Keep the cloud Mac running and leave the Message Gateway app open so your iMessage connection stays active.
‣ If messages do not send or receive correctly, confirm that NoMachine can connect to the cloud Mac, the Message Gateway app is open, and the correct iMessage account is active.
‣ If you change your iMessage account, device, or cloud Mac login details, you may need to reconnect and test the Message Gateway app again.

🙌 Pro Tip
Before using the connection with live contacts, send one test message from your CRM and one reply from your iPhone. This confirms that both outgoing and incoming iMessages are syncing correctly.
