Multi SIM: Override Text Message

Send Every SMS from the Right SIM — No Matter Who’s Logged In

🎯 Purpose:
To ensure SMS messages are sent from the correct SIM card in multi-user environments — especially when managing multiple numbers in your HighLevel/myCRMSIM account.

🧠 Background (Why This Matters)
In a myCRMSIM setup with multiple SIMs, each SIM is tied to a specific HighLevel user. But here’s the catch:

If you're logged in as User B and the lead is assigned to User A, your message still sends from User B’s SIM — not the correct one.

This creates confusion, wrong-number texts, and inconsistent communication. 😤

The solution?
A custom-built Multi-SIM Message Override workflow — created with help from our awesome client Charlie DeFelice 🙌

🛠️ Prerequisites

✔️ You must have the myCRMSIM snapshot installed
✔️ Users and SIMs must be properly connected
✔️ You need access to custom fields and workflows in your HighLevel account

Step-by-Step Instructions

🔁 Option A: Manual Messages (❌ Not Recommended)

‣ Go to the lead’s record
‣ Type your SMS in the message box
‣ Click Send

❗ Issue: If you’re signed in as the wrong user, the SMS comes from the wrong SIM.

Option B: Use the Multi-SIM Message Override Field (✔️ Recommended)

This ensures every SMS goes out from the SIM assigned to the user linked to the lead.

📌 Step 1: Find the Override Field

‣ Open the lead’s contact record
‣ Locate the custom field: multi-SIM message override

💬 Step 2: Type Your Message

‣ Enter the SMS you want to send in that field
‣ Example:

Hey! Just following up on our chat from SIM 2 ✅

💾 Step 3: Save the Record

‣ Click Save on the contact record
‣ This triggers the workflow
‣ The message is automatically sent from the SIM assigned to the user linked to the lead 🎯

🔄 Behavior Based on Lead Assignment

🧪 Real-World Example

‣ Lead is assigned to User A (SIM 2)
‣ You're logged in as User B
‣ You type the message in the override field
‣ ✅ Message is still sent from SIM 2 — the correct one

📢 Final Notes

‣ This setup lets multiple users and SIMs work together without mix-ups
‣ You no longer need to switch users to send from the right SIM
‣ The magic is in the override field + smart workflow combo 🧠

🙌 Shoutout
Massive thanks to Charlie DeFelice for this brilliant solution 👏👏

‣ It’s already prebuilt in your snapshot.
‣ Just type into the override field — and let the system take care of the rest! 🚀
