“Send From” Device Selection in HighLevel
When Send From is enabled for a sub-account, a Send From [mySMSGateway] dropdown is added to the contact record. This dropdown displays the devices and SIMs currently connected and assigned to that sub-account.
You can either:
- Select Automatic to follow the existing Message Routing configuration.
- Select a specific device or SIM to send messages through that device, overriding the normal routing configuration for supported HighLevel sending methods.
Note: In HighLevel, the Client A integration appears as mySMSGateway.
Contact Selection | Send From | Result |
Automatic | ON | Uses the existing Message Routing and assigned-user configuration. |
Any selection | OFF | The contact selection is ignored and messages follow Message Routing. |
Any selection | OFF | The contact selection is ignored and messages follow Message Routing. |
Which Sending Method Should You Use?
myCRMSIM provides two ways to control which SIM or device sends an SMS:
Use Send From Device Selection when you want to manually choose a specific device or SIM for an individual contact. This is the recommended option when you need contact-level control.
Use Multi SIM: Override Text Message when you want a workflow to automatically send a message from the SIM assigned to the lead’s assigned user, even if another user is currently logged in.
These options can overlap, but they are designed for different use cases. If a specific device or SIM is selected in the Send From field, that contact-level selection takes priority for supported SMS sending methods.

- You can select a specific device or SIM for an individual contact.

Depending on the devices connected to the sub-account, you may see options such as:
- Automatic (assigned user / Message Routing)
- Message: [Device Name]
- SMS - [Carrier] - SIM [Number] - [User Name] - [Phone Number]
- WhatsApp: WhatsApp [Number]
After selecting the desired option, save the contact if HighLevel displays a save option.

- Keep the contact record open in HighLevel.
- Confirm that the correct option is selected in Send From [mySMSGateway].
- Open the contact's conversation.
- Locate the Type a message box.
- Enter a test message.
- Send the message.
- Verify that the message was sent through the selected device and channel.

Therefore, when Send From is enabled, these actions also respect the contact's selected Send From device/SIM.
When Send From is enabled, the contact's selected device or SIM from mySMSGateway takes priority over when using HighLevel's built-in Send SMS workflow action.
- Send iMessage
- Send WhatsApp
- Send RCS
